Have you ever hit a point in your faith where everything feels… flat?
You’re reading your Bible, praying when you can, showing up at church — but something inside you still feels distant from God.
If you’ve ever whispered, “Lord, where are You in all of this?” — you’re not alone.
💬 Real Talk Moment:
I’ve been there, too.
One day, I realized that I was chasing success — and the very thing I truly needed, I had been neglecting: intimate time with God.
In that season, my career had quietly become an idol. I was working hard to achieve goals and prove myself, but my spirit was running on empty.
Then God spoke clearly to my heart:
“You’ve been idolizing your career more than seeking My presence.”
That moment stopped me in my tracks. I realized that spiritual dryness doesn’t always mean God is distant — sometimes it means we’ve been distracted. We’ve replaced communion with achievement and intimacy with ambition.
That day, I chose to shift from chasing success to seeking His presence first.
And everything began to change.
So if you’re feeling spiritually stuck, here are 3 simple but powerful ways to start growing again — right where you are.
When life gets busy, it’s easy to equate productivity with purpose — but God doesn’t measure your worth by how much you do.
For so long, I thought spiritual growth meant checking off every devotional, finishing Bible reading plans, and keeping up with every Christian podcast. But God gently reminded me that growth isn’t about doing more — it’s about being with Him more.
He desires your presence, not your performance.
When was the last time you sat with God without an agenda? No prayer list, no music, no to-do list — just silence and surrender.
🕊 Tangible Step:
Set aside five minutes today to sit quietly before God.
Whisper, “Lord, I’m here. Teach me to rest in You.”
Don’t rush it. Don’t try to force a spiritual moment. Just be.
If your mind wanders, gently bring your thoughts back with a simple prayer like,
“Jesus, You are enough for me.”
It’s in those still moments that your roots begin to grow deeper.
📖 Scripture to anchor this: John 15:4 — “Remain in Me, and I will remain in you.”
When we feel spiritually dry, our first instinct is usually to do something about it — to fix it, to get back on track, to prove that we’re still “okay” with God. But growth often starts not in doing, but in understanding.
Sometimes, God uses the feeling of “stuck” to slow you down long enough to reveal what’s been buried beneath the surface.
That was me — I kept trying to pray my way out of frustration without pausing long enough to ask God why I was frustrated in the first place. Eventually, I realized that my exhaustion wasn’t just physical; it was spiritual. I had been running on self-effort, not surrender.
💬 Real Talk Moment:
When you start to feel empty, it’s not always an attack — sometimes, it’s an invitation. God may be inviting you to pause and listen before reacting out of burnout or disappointment.
🕊 Tangible Step:
Grab your Faith & Growth Journal (or any notebook) and write down your honest answers to these three prompts:
What’s been weighing on my heart lately?
Where have I been resisting God’s direction or timing?
What would it look like to surrender that area to Him today?
Don’t edit your answers — write freely. Cry if you need to. Be honest with yourself and God.
Because healing always begins with honesty.
📖 Scripture to reflect on: Psalm 139:23–24 — “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”
💡 When you make space to reflect, you’ll start to see that God never stopped speaking — you just needed to quiet the noise long enough to hear Him again.
Here’s something we don’t talk about enough: feeling spiritually stuck often happens in isolation.
The more disconnected you feel from God, the more likely you are to pull away from people — even the ones who could help you get unstuck.
But God never designed us to grow alone. He moves powerfully through connection.
💬 Real Talk Moment:
When I finally started opening up to other women about what I was feeling, I realized something — I wasn’t the only one struggling. There were so many of us trying to pour from empty cups. Hearing their stories gave me the strength to keep going.
Sis, sometimes breakthrough comes when you stop pretending you have it all together and start letting others pray for you, speak truth into you, and remind you who you are in Christ.
🕊 Tangible Step:
Text a trusted friend and ask if you can pray together this week.
Join a women’s group, Bible study, or even a short devotional circle online.
If you don’t know where to start, join a community like Women Cultivated in Christ — where faith, sisterhood, and growth come together.
Because one encouraging conversation can reignite the spark you thought you lost.
📖 Scripture to stand on: Proverbs 27:17 — “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
💡 You were never meant to do this walk of faith alone. God often sends people to remind you of promises you’ve forgotten.
If you feel stuck, don’t confuse stillness with separation.
God hasn’t forgotten you — He’s forming you.
He’s teaching you to trust Him more deeply and to rely less on your own strength.
Keep showing up. Keep surrendering. Keep choosing presence over performance.
Because even in this “stuck” season…
🌿 You are still growing.
🌸 You are still chosen.
👑 You are still cultivated and crowned for Kingdom impact.
If this encouraged you, share it with another woman who needs the reminder that God is still working behind the scenes.
